HEDGEHOG Barbie the hedgehog is a ball of fun! Hedgehogs come from Africa and all over Europe. Barbie is an African pygmy hedgehog. She has lots of quills all over her body. When we visit children, we hold her up close so they can see her face and even let the more adventurous kids touch her quills! She makes very interesting noises. We always include information about why the kids might not want to choose a hedgehog as a 'pet'. They are very interesting and cute but they certainly aren't the most cuddly creatures on the planet!
