KAREN FINCH

My name is Karen Finch, but most kids know me now as~ Creature Teacher. I live in Greensboro with my wonderful husband Tim and our 2 great kids, Eric and Lainey. Our 4 legged family members include Mikayla; a 7 year old English Springer Spaniel, Cookie; a tri-colored Guinea Pig, Franklin; a red-eared slider turtle, and our newest additions Phoebe and Phiona; 2 very sweet and smart Domestic Rats. Before becoming a Creature Teacher I was a preschool teacher at First Lutheran School for Young Children (S.F.Y.C.) That's where I met Miss Tracy and all of her exciting animals. As much as I loved my job at S.F.Y.C., I really had a longing to do what Miss Tracy did~ teach kids about the creatures that God made, and teach them about the special care needed to keep them healthy and happy. After lots of prayers and discussion with Tracy~ here I am doing a job that I absolutely love, and working with an amazing friend that I really respect and admire. God is just so good!! I am very much looking forward to another school year as Miss Karen, Creature Teacher.
