Some animals are not legal in all states to keep as a pet, you must make sure this animal is legal in your state before acquiring it. (we may have animals that are permitted only with a license for education)

In our neck of the woods, turtles come literally crawling out of the woodwork in the spring and summer.  PLEASE don't consider making a turtle a pet!  Some parents think this is a great pet for their child because it's 'low maintenance' and doesn't require a lot of attention but not only is this far from the truth, it is really lowering the quality of life for the poor turtle.  Especially if the parent or person intends to keep it in an aquarium indoors after it has been roaming free for years!  Turtles require much more upkeep then you'd think.  Follow these links to learn more.
